We will credit $50 off of your Rent The Chicken or adoption for every friend referred who Rents The Chicken. Credits can never be refunded as cash and can never be used for more than one Rental Season at a time.
Additional Notes
Possible additional fees: Due to the increase of feed cost and fuel cost, closer to delivery, there may be a slight surcharge for one or both of these items.
Nesting box bedding: To avoid finding bedding for nesting materials throughout the rental period, a bag of pine shavings can be purchased with the rental for $10.
Possible Transportation Fees
Our Rental Packages include FREE DELIVERY to Albany and the Capital District to include north to Saratoga Springs, Ballston Spa, and more! If you live further than the listed areas, you may incur a predetermined yearly transportation fee. For customers outside of our FREE DELIVERY area, please call us at toll-free at 844-310-8782 for a delivery quote. Rentals to these areas are being delivered from Poland, NY. Rentals will be grouped then delivered and picked up together. If an early pick-up is needed, a predetermined fee will be charged. This helps keep the rental prices lower depending on combined trips. Due to the distance, if a rental chicken is not healthy or worse during the rental, they can meet with a replacement chicken within 50 miles of their location without a transportation fee. If you prefer for them to bring a replacement chicken, a transportation fee will be determined.
Homestead Christina and son, Homestead Lucas, along with their family are now serving the Central New York area from Syracuse to Utica / Herkimer to Albany. In the spring of 2016, Homestead Christina and her husband, Matt, purchased a five acre farm in Poland, NY, which is two miles from their church and south of the Adirondack Park. They are living the American dream raising their four homeschooled children on the farm. All six share the farming responsibilities. Together they can be found as part of planning Vacation Bible School for their community, enjoying the beautiful NYS parks and actively involved in Little League baseball or Pop Warner football. However, Rent The Chicken combines one particular child's passion for chickens and carpentry into one endeavor. Lucas, who is thirteen, has been supplying his neighbors with farm fresh eggs and bags of compost during the past seven years. Some at church have nicknamed him the 'EntreManure'. He is egg-cited to prepare a great product for his deliveries during his Rent The Chicken adventures but he does not accomplish this alone. His family is there to cheer him on (as we do when he is on the pitcher's mound) and assist each step of the way (like delivering to his customers). It really is a team effort.
