Pritchard, British Columbia - Homestead Mollie provides Hatch The Chicken to Kamloops, Vernon, Kelowna, and Salmon Arm as well as Rent The Chicken to Kamloops! Homestead Mollie is a Red Seal Electrician with the IBEW. When she's not working as an electrician, she is raising chickens. She has resided in the interior of British Columbia since 1969 and has lived on her acreage since 1996. In recent years, she has been building hoop coops to keep her flocks mobile and safe from predators so the flock forages in the fields during the spring, summer and fall. In the winter, she converts her hoop coops to heated winter shelters with solar lighting so the chickens can enjoy more lighted hours in the winter. Homestead Mollie enjoys hatching chicks and raising them and enjoys providing tours on her acreage to show the many different breeds she is raising. She is egg-cited to offer Hatch The Chicken and Rent The Chicken to her community and beyond!

We can't confirm what other organizations do with their baby chicks after a hatching program but we know with our whole hearts that all of the chicks hatched with our Hatch The Chicken program provide a purpose following the rental. We value their lives and value what they bring to our business and those who participate in our programs.
