Possible Transportation Fees
Our Rental Packages include FREE DELIVERY within 50 miles of Wallingford, Cconnecticut. If you live further than 50 miles of Wallingford, CT 06492, you may incur a predetermined yearly transportation fee. For our renters in Westchester County, the transportation fees typically range from $140-$240 total for delivery and pickup. For customers outside of our FREE DELIVERY area, please call us toll-free at 844-310-8782 for a delivery quote.

Additional Notes
Pine Shavings: We provide enough nesting materials to start the rental. Nesting materials can be pine shavings, grass clippings, and more. It's a personal choice as many of our renters compost so they want to decide what is going into their compost. If you'd like to use pine shavings as nesting materials and want to avoid trying to finding them throughout the rental period, a bag of pine shavings can be purchased with the rental for $12.

Possible additional fees: Due to the increase of feed cost and fuel cost, closer to delivery, there may be a slight surcharge for one or both of these items.

Give a hand and save: Our coops are about 42" wide and easily roll from on our trailer to most backyards. If your property requires the coop to be lifted over a wall or fence due to your gate being less than 42" wide, we'll need for you to commit a member of your household to help Homestead Ida lift the coop. If for one reason or another a member of your household is not available, a predetermined fee of $40 will be included for both delivery and pick-up and we will make arrangements for Homestead Ida to bring a helper! We also have a limited number of coops that are 30" wide and can be partially assembled on site or fully assembled on site. Partially assembled on site is $40 and fully assembled on site is $60. This must be arranged in advance.
