Northford, Connecticut- Homestead Ida & Farmer Joe have been farming this Connecticut land for four generations. Today, along with their family, they bring Rent The Chicken and Hatch The Chicken throughout Connecticut, Westchester County, Manhattan, and Long Island, New York. Their mission has always been the same: connect families to where their food comes from and make it joyful. In 2016, they were honored as National Outstanding Young Farmers of the Year - and they're still just as excited about a hatching egg as they were on day one. Come experience the farm. The chickens can't wait to meet you. Truly an eggs-traordinary journey!

We value their lives and value what they bring to our business and those who participate in our programs.
