We provide a clean, secure coop, egg-laying hens, feed, supplies, and full support so you can enjoy fresh eggs and hands-on fun without the responsibility of permanent ownership.

We will credit $50 off of your Rent The Chicken or adoption for every friend referred who Rents The Chicken. Credits can never be refunded as cash and can never be used for more than one Rental Season at a time.

Possible Transportation Fees
Our Rental Packages include FREE DELIVERY to the Greater Burlington Area and within 50 miles of Greensboro, VT 05841. If you live outside the Greater Burlington Area, you may incur a predetermined yearly transportation fee. For customers outside of our FREE DELIVERY area, please call us toll-free at 844-310-8782 for a delivery quote. Rentals to the Greater Burlington Area are being delivered from Greensboro, VT. Rentals will be grouped then delivered and picked up together. If an early pick-up is needed, a predetermined fee will be charged. This helps keeps the rental prices lower depending on combined trips. Due to the distance, if a rental chicken is not healthy or worse during the rental, they can meet with a replacement chicken within 50 miles of their location without a transportation fee. If you prefer for them to bring a replacement chicken, a transportation fee will be determined.
Possible Additional Fees
Due to the increase of feed cost, tolls, and fuel cost, closer to delivery, there may be a slight surcharge for one or both of these items.
Greensboro, Vermont - Homestead Warren and his mom Laura are providing Rent The Chicken to St Johnsbury, Northeastern Vermont, and Burlington. They are are excited to share their love of chickens with you. Warren raises chickens and sells eggs on the family homestead along with his sisters and parents. Together as a family they own and operate Hillcrest Nursery and Landscaping business. The Hill family also raises beef and has their own string of dairy and show cows. In his free time Homestead Warren enjoys riding his dirt bike, hiking with his golden Molly, survival camping, and skiing in the winter. He is currently attending lineman training.
