Want The Discount?
We will credit $50 off of your Rent The Chicken or adoption for every friend referred who Rents The Chicken. Credits can never be refunded as cash and can never be used for more than one Rental Season at a time.
Possible Transportation Fees
Our Rental Packages include FREE DELIVERY to Austin and within 50 miles of Uhland TX 78640. If you live outside of the the free delivery parameters, you may incur a predetermined yearly transportation fee. For customers outside of our FREE DELIVERY area, please call us toll-free at 844-310-8782 for a delivery quote.
Additional Notes
Our Standard Coops are about 31" wide while our Deluxe Coops are about 57" wide. Both easily roll from on our trailer to most backyards. If your property requires the coop to be lifted over a wall or fence due to your gate being less than 31 or 57" wide, we'll need for you to commit a member of your household to help Homestead Deric & Amy lift the coop. If for one reason or another the coop cannot be lifted, our coops can be delivered un-assembled ($60) or partially assembled ($40). The predetermined fee is for both delivery and pick-up.
Possible additional fees: Due to the increase of feed cost and fuel cost, closer to delivery, there may be a slight surcharge for one or both of these items.
Homestead Deric and Amy with their two daughters, Isla and Raelyn, are serving Central Texas and Austin with Rent The Chicken and Hatch The Chicken They have been raising chickens for over 10 years even in neighborhoods before it was allowed (unknowingly). Homestead Deric and Amy always had a goal of owning enough land to raise children and chickens on without worrying about if they had enough space, or the worry of others trying to stop them. It has always been important to them that their girls know where their food comes from and how to take care of themselves. Besides loving chickens, Homestead Deric loves to garden and do anything with plants. Homestead Amy is a teacher at heart and spent many years in the public school system before deciding to homeschool her girls and work with a hybrid homeschool program. For years now they have wanted to be able to use their family of chickens to help others learn about the wonderful aspects of raising them. They are excited to offer both Hatch The Chicken and Rent The Chicken and look forward to meeting you!
