    • Rentals available: early June through end of August / early September
    • Delivery, setup, and pick-up of the contents

    Additional Notes
     Our Rental Packages include DELIVERY to Long Island. Rentals to Long Island are being delivered from New Jersey and Connecticut. Rentals will be grouped then delivered and picked up together. If an early pick-up is needed or an alternate delivery is requested, a predetermined fee will be charged. This helps us combined our trips. Due to the distance, if a rental chicken is not healthy or worse during the rental, they can meet with a replacement chicken at a Connecticut port or at the Farm Stand in Wallingford, CT without a transportation fee. If you prefer for them to bring a replacement chicken, a transportation fee will be determined. For an early pickup requiring a dedicated trip, an additional fee will be assesssed.
    Pine Shavings:
    We provide enough nesting materials to start the rental. Nesting materials can be pine shavings, grass clippings, and more. It's a personal choice as many of our renters compost so they want to decide what is going into their compost. Rentals provided from Connecticut offer pine shavings as nesting materials and want to avoid trying to finding them throughout the rental period, a bag of pine shavings can be purchased with the rental for $10.


    Possible additional fees: Ferry fees may be added in addition to the rental fee. Due to the increase of feed cost and fuel cost, closer to delivery, there may be a slight surcharge for one or both of these items.

    We will credit $50 off of your Rent The Chicken or adoption for every friend referred who Rents The Chicken. Credits can never be refunded as cash and can never be used for more than one Rental Season at a time.
